Power Electronics to showcase cutting-edge energy solutions at Smart Energy Week in Tokyo
Energy storage and grid support solutions on display: the PCSK battery inverter and the DC/DC converter. David Salvo, CEO of Power Electronics, will be in attendance to meet with industry leaders and discuss the company’s strategic vision for the Japanese market.

Power Electronics will be exhibiting at Smart Energy Week, taking place from February 19 to 21 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. At booth E53-51, the company will showcase its latest innovations in energy storage and grid support solutions, highlighting its commitment to bringing greener and more sustainable energy solutions to the Japanese and Asian markets.
Power Electronics Japan
Power Electronics distinguishes itself in the Japanese market through its specialized focus on inverter products, backed by a significant global track record in solar and storage. The company's modular product design ensures high reliability and availability, simplifying maintenance and support for clients. Key products in the Japanese market include the HEMK, PCSK+Multi-PCSK, DC/DC, and MV Skid. Power Electronics is also recognized for its rapid development cycles, engineering resources, and fast time to market. However, the cornerstone of the company’s success lies in its vocation for service, exemplified by a reliable 24/7 customer support system.
“Power Electronics Japan has delivered over 40 solar projects in the local market,” states Yoshiharu Watabe, the Country Manager. “We are responding to the growing demand for storage applications, and we have secured several storage projects for delivery in the first half of 2025. With increasing solar penetration, grid capacity limitations are becoming a challenge, leading to underutilized solar energy. Storage solutions play a crucial role in addressing this issue. In addition to storage opportunities, solar and solar repowering will also be key focuses for us in the coming years. The development and efficient utilization of renewable energy are gaining significant traction in Japan, and 2025 promises to be another exciting year for Power Electronics Japan.”
Flagship products on display
Among the featured products will be the PCSK, a high-power, utility-scale battery inverter designed for grid support applications. The PCSK offers advanced features such as the ability to connect up to four independent Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and support multiple voltage levels, making it highly adaptable to various battery technologies. Also on display will be the DC/DC converter, an innovative solution which maximizes the benefits of solar-plus-storage systems by enabling efficient energy transfer between solar panels and battery storage. The DC/DC converter is designed for high efficiency and operates in a wide temperature range, making it suitable for diverse environments.
Occupying a 97m2 booth with an open and inviting design, Power Electronics will feature dedicated product display areas, a comfortable meeting space for discussions with sales representatives, and a prominent showcase of their key technologies. Business Development experts and Product and Applications specialists will be available to assist all attendees interested in successfully completing their projects. Furthermore, David Salvo, CEO of Power Electronics, will be in attendance to meet with industry leaders and discuss the company’s strategic vision for the Japanese market.
