Power Electronics Breaks Ground on the Largest Manufacturing Campus for Power Conversion Systems in the U.S.

Houston, Texas – Power Electronics a global company specializing in solutions for solar energy, storage, data centers, e-mobility, and drives, celebrated the groundbreaking of its future campus in Houston, Texas, marking a major milestone in the company’s long-term growth and industrial strategy in the United States.

The ceremony brought together Power Electronics’ executive leadership, government officials and authorities, customers, industry partners and members of the Houston business community to recognize the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s U.S. operations.

Located on more than 53 acres, the new campus represents a significant expansion of Power Electronics’ manufacturing footprint in the United States. The project will include two buildings of approximately 150,000 and 700,000 square feet, bringing together Logistics, Production, Electronics Manufacturing, R&D, Training, Corporate Offices, and other key functions within a single industrial campus.

Once fully operational, the Houston campus is expected to deliver up to 40 GW of annual production capacity and create over 400 new jobs in the Houston area.

Designed to become Power Electronics’ most automated inverter production site to date, the campus will incorporate advanced production technologies and processes focused on efficiency, quality, scalability and reliability.

Strengthening U.S. Energy Infrastructure Through Local Manufacturing

The new Houston campus comes at a critical time for the U.S. energy industry, as accelerating demand from utility-scale solar, storage, data centers and broader electrification continues to increase the need for reliable power conversion solutions and resilient domestic supply chains.

The Houston campus represents more than additional production capacity. It is a long-term investment in American industry, skilled employment, technological innovation and the infrastructure required to support the next generation of the U.S. energy system.
